I am a wife to my wonderful husband Don, mom of 4 Beautiful kids, Gigi to 2 sweet grand babies, certified fitness instructor and health coach! I have been passionate about healthy living and fitness for 20+ years.
In the early 2000's, I was a busy stay at home mom raising and homeschooling my kids. I had very little time to put into a fitness routine. I didn't have the money for a gym or a fancy personal trainer either. I needed something I could do at home that was convenient and effective. I tried lots of videos, beach body workouts on CD, and such. I liked it but it was hard to stay committed with no real person to keep me accountable. I wondered if there was others like me who wanted to get a great workout at home while the kids were at school and willing to make time to do so regularly. One day I ran into an old friend and asked if she wanted to come over and exercise with me in the mornings. She agreed and so each morning she would come over and workout with me. After a few years of this, another mom joined us. Having a group of real women there in my living room every morning was awesome. We could tailor workouts to fit our personal fitness needs+schedules and keep each other accountable.
Fast forward to 2015, Our kids grew up, life had changed, and this lovely routine of ours had faded away after several years. I Was not where I wanted to be with my health anymore. I had gained some weight and was not exercising regularly. I had lost a good bit of my strength that I once had and dealing with sugar cravings, over-eating, brain fog and more.
I started exercising again but this time I went a different way. I joined a gym and took classes each morning at 5am taught by a trainer. I wanted my strength back in my body and I wanted the weight off. I started taking amazing supplements (that changed my life+health, but that's another story) drinking more water, and putting my best effort into cleaning up my diet.
2 years later, I had my strength back and went down several sizes! I was eating better and my passion for fitness+nutrition had grown.
In 2019 I got certified to teach fitness classes and grew my knowledge of supplements and nutrition. I knew there was still a need to help women lose weight with convenient and effective exercises in the midst of their busy schedules. I couldn't help but feel called to serve others in this way.
In the fall of 2020 after lots of prayer and planning, I opened Harmony Health and Fitness to do just that.
When I tell you I've tried ALL the diets, ALL the workout CD programs, ALL the youtube workouts, Joined multiple gyms, etc. I really have. I have had days where I lost all motivation or seasons of life where I was so busy I couldn't wake up and be in the gym. I understand the struggle of making time for yourself when you have little ones. I have given up, given in and quit. Maybe you relate to my story. Maybe you have tried similar things and gotten similar results. Some of it might have even worked for you for a time, but after a while it wasn't sustainable.
I have no doubt that you have your own unique story of why you want to get on the path to good health. All of us have our own struggles and challenges that have knocked us down or caused us to quit. I have been there sister, I know!
Now, why is my class any different from all the things you've tried before? Great question.
What I offer you that other programs/gyms don't is personal accountability, LIVE virtual fitness classes you can do from anywhere, classes designed by me specifically for WOMEN that are safe and effective for ANY fitness level, Health coaching, supplement recommendations, affordable memberships, video recordings of every workout so you never miss a class, community and support from other women just like you, and much more.
My classes are walking based so they are perfect for beginners and challenging enough for intermediate levels. I provide modifications throughout each session so that ANYONE can participate and no one is left behind. We are all in this together!
